ABOUT ME

Welcome to Games Industry,

Hey, I introduce myself, I'm Marc Farrés, I'm 16 years old and I am currently living in Terrassa. I am currently studying at Terrassa's Tecnos School and I am studying the Social Baccalaureate, and when I finish the baccalaureate I will go to the University to continue my education and my studies.

This blog is a project of the school, in the subject of Digital Humanities. This subject deals with carrying out different projects or works and it touches with the modalities as much as the Computer science and the Humanities.

The current project is about making a blog explaining any topic related to the social sciences and answering questions and later creating a Twitter account.

For the blog I have chosen a topic called the Economics of Videogames, in order to know how video games affect the economy of our society. And I have chosen the Economics of video games instead of the normal economy, since I have been a fan of Videogames since I came and now I have seen the opportunity to make a blog of the subject we want and I have chosen the theme of video games . Although I just wanted to do the video game blog, but the project should be focused on social sciences and therefore focus on the Economy of these.

Also throughout the blog will be added adding data and figures of money that are currently invested in video games and also that provide video games in our current society.

Since my blog is about the economy of video games, I can find an example of post-truth which is related to the fact that some developers presented their new video game called No Man's Sky at a games fair and can say that they go make false hopes as these promised us that this video game would be multiplayer and therefore you could play with your friends, but it turns out that when the game was launched on the market then millions of people were going to buy it with the goal to play with friends and when they turned on the game it turned out that they gave us false hopes, since this game did not have multiplayer and it was only for a person. This could perfectly be a type of po...
